Does increasing work and seeking provision to cover marriage expenses, out of fear of falling into the worship of dirhams and dinars or preferring this world over the hereafter, contradict other familial and cultural aspects, or is it considered a form of seeking chastity, or should the focus be on the worship of Allah?

Marriage is obligatory for anyone who fears falling into the unlawful by not marrying. If you fear temptation, then marriage is obligatory for you. To acquire the means for marriage, you should prioritize working extra over supererogatory acts of worship. Even if marriage were merely recommended for you, your endeavor to earn for the means of marriage would be a praiseworthy effort, not a blameworthy pursuit of worldly gain. The pursuit of worldly gain is only blameworthy if it is through unlawful means, or if its purpose is excessive accumulation and boasting. Therefore, we advise you to strive for lawful earnings to maintain your chastity, while being diligent in acts of obedience.
