The answer

The Holy Qur’an mentions the characteristics of the righteous in several places, including the beginning of Surat Al-Baqarah, where Allah Almighty says: "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend from what We have provided for them, And who believe in what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]." [Al-Baqarah: 2-4]. Also, in Surat Al Imran, Allah Almighty says: "And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous - Those who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good." [Al Imran: 133-134]. These verses can be identified using "Al-Mu'jam Al-Mufahras li Alfaz Al-Qur'an Al-Kareem" (Concordance of the Words of the Holy Qur'an) and by consulting simplified books such as "Aysar Al-Tafasir" by Al-Jazairi and "Taysir Al-Kareem Al-Rahman" by Sheikh Al-Saadi.
