Does the Hadith "Nothing repels destiny except supplication" include praying for death in the cause of Allah, or is the hour of death unchangeable?

The Hadith, "Nothing repels divine decree except supplication, and nothing increases life except righteousness," was authenticated by Al-Albani. It is interpreted to mean that divine decree is of two types: an unalterable, pre-ordained decree, which is the eternal destiny that does not change; and a suspended decree recorded in the angels' scrolls, which can change through supplication and charity. This is what is meant by the Almighty’s saying: "Allah erases what He wills and establishes [what He wills], and with Him is the Mother of the Book." So, supplication affects the suspended decree, not Allah’s eternal knowledge.
