Does supplication hasten provision before its appointed time?

Allah's divine decree (Qada') is of two types: an unalterable, eternal decree (Qada' Mubram Azali) that does not change, and a contingent decree (Qada' Mu'allaq) recorded in the angels' scrolls, which can be erased or affirmed based on causes like supplication (Du'a) and charity (Sadaqa). This second type explains Allah's saying: "{For every term there is a [decreed] Book. Allah erases what He wills and establishes what He wills, and with Him is the Mother of the Book}" (Quran 13:38-39), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Nothing repels decree except supplication, and nothing increases lifespan except righteousness." Supplication is one of the causes that alter the contingent decree to conform to the unalterable decree. Provision (rizq) has a specific time linked to its causes; if the servant supplicates, his provision is hastened, and if he does not, it is delayed. All of this conforms to the eternal, unalterable decree.
