What is the ruling regarding someone who committed sorcery in their past, then repented and died upon that state?

Whoever practiced magic and then repented sincerely to Allah, and died in that state, Allah will accept his repentance, because repentance nullifies what came before it. Allah forgives the disbeliever if he repents from his disbelief. The disagreement regarding the acceptance of the magician's repentance is only concerning worldly rulings. As for Allah's acceptance of it inwardly, there is no disagreement about that.
