Divorce occurs the moment the husband utters it, and its occurrence does not require the presence or knowledge of the wife. So, if you uttered a divorce to your wife over the phone, the divorce has occurred. And if this divorce is the third, then your wife has become unlawful to you and is not permissible for you until she marries another man in a valid marriage and he then divorces her after consummating the marriage.
