What should a person do who is confused between staying in his current high-paying job, which causes him depression, and moving to another job with a much lower salary, with a high probability of being accepted, and for which matter should he seek guidance from Allah (istikharah)?

The Istikhara prayer is legislated when one is hesitant between two matters, in order to seek the better of the two, whether it is remaining in the first job or joining the second job. It is also recommended to consult people of goodness and righteousness. If one of the two jobs is more in compliance with the Sharia, it must be prioritized, knowing that a woman's place in her home is more preferable.
