Is the interior finishing of hotels and tourist villages (such as doors, ceramics, marble, furnishings, walls, and bathrooms), without finishing prohibited areas like bars and discos, considered a permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram) act? And does the ruling differ if the work is done with the intention of learning and gaining experience? And is there a difference between hotels in cities and those in tourist areas? And what about finishing an apartment that contains a room for alcohol: should the apartment be finished excluding that room, or should it not be finished at all?

It is impermissible to work in the construction or finishing of places used for sin and disobedience, such as disco halls, places for drinking alcohol, gambling, or dance clubs, due to the assistance this entails in committing sin. The ruling on hotels varies depending on their purpose. City hotels, which are typically used for accommodation and comfort, generally present no issue. This differs from hotels in tourist villages, which people commonly frequent for corruption and dissolution. If an apartment includes a room prepared for something unlawful, it is not permissible to assist in its construction, though it is permissible for the rest of the apartment. Legitimate avenues of sustenance are numerous, and whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
