How did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, treat his daughters before the age of seventeen?

It is difficult to know the details of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) treatment of his daughters in their early youth, but generally speaking, his treatment of them can be discussed. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was an excellent role model in his treatment of his four daughters: Zainab, Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthum, and Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with them). His treatment was characterized by mercy and wisdom, and it was manifested in his دعوت (invitation) of them to Islam, his care for them during their illnesses even in the most difficult times, his kind reception of them, his entrusting them with his secrets, his bringing joy to their hearts, his prompt marriage of them to those who possessed religiosity and good character, his commanding them to observe hijab, his resolving their family problems, his tenderness towards them even when they were absent from him, his participation in the aqiqah (sacrificial offering) for their children, and his follow-up on them with their husbands. His care for them continued even after their deaths, as he meticulously attended to their washing and funeral prayers.
