Is it permissible to treat a Muslim woman unjustly in marriage by marrying her and leaving her whenever he wishes, and what should I do when I am holding on to my husband?

Divorce falls into five categories, and one who initiates divorce in certain cases where there is no unlawful act is not considered unjust. Allah has ordained marriage for great purposes, such as achieving stability and affection. A husband's objective in marriage should not be merely materialistic, nor should he seek to end the marital relationship simply because this objective is not met. It is advised not to dwell on the husband's fault, but rather to strive to rectify the situation by persuading him to reconsider, or by delegating wise individuals to speak with him. If he insists, then entrust your affair to Allah, for there may be good in separation. Allah Almighty says: "But perhaps you hate a thing and Allah makes therein much good" (An-Nisa: 19). A husband's request to his wife to end the relationship does not constitute divorce unless he intended to effect it immediately with that wording.
