1. Is it permissible for my wife to exit the state of ihram for Umrah in Medina after menstruation prevented her from completing it in Mecca, knowing that she stipulated, "If I am prevented [from completing it], then my place of exiting ihram is where I was prevented"? 2. Is it permissible for my sister, who is three months pregnant and finds fasting difficult, to break her fast, and must she make up the days later even if that leads to delaying making up for future Ramadans due to breastfeeding? 3. Is it permissible for someone in i'tikaf to leave the mosque for work, to bring food, or to pray in another mosque (like the Haram) and then return immediately, and is his i'tikaf invalidated if he leaves to eat at home because food is not available in the mosque?

The wife must remain in a state of ihram until she performs her 'Umrah, and crowds are not an excuse for exiting ihram. She can postpone the 'Umrah while remaining in ihram. As for her condition, it permits her to exit ihram, according to some scholars, if she stipulated it. However, it is more cautious not to exit ihram as long as she is able to perform the ritual without great difficulty.

As for the sister, she is permitted to break her fast if fasting becomes difficult for her, and she must make up the days whenever she is able. If she broke her fast out of fear for the child, then she must offer a fidyah in addition to making up the days, according to some scholars.

Regarding exiting i'tikaf, if it is for a necessity such as answering the call of nature or buying food, it does not invalidate the i'tikaf. However, exiting to pray in another mosque, or for work, or for something that can be dispensed with, invalidates the i'tikaf. Nevertheless, if the one performing i'tikaf stipulated exiting for something that can be dispensed with, such as praying in another mosque, then his i'tikaf is not invalidated according to many scholars.
