The employee is entitled to his wage by surrendering himself to the employer and placing himself at his disposal for the entire agreed-upon period, even if he is not assigned any work. If the management is aware of his situation and pays his salary before assigning him other work, there is no sin upon him for that, and he may benefit from what is given to him.
