How is it possible to command good and forbid evil concerning innovations (bid‘ah) and religious errors, while observing the preservation of relationships and avoiding aversion, especially when repeatedly advising those who do not respond?
There are five matters related to enjoining good and forbidding evil:
Firstly: The obligation to verify that what you are forbidding is indeed an evil or a mistake, for there is no denunciation in matters of scholarly disagreement.
Secondly: It is not permissible to abandon forbidding evil out of fear that people will find it burdensome; rather, enjoining and forbidding must be done through appropriate means, wisdom, and good counsel.
Thirdly: Forbidding evil is to be abandoned if it leads to a greater evil.
Fourthly: For the etiquette of enjoining good and forbidding evil, please refer to No.: 153004.
Fifthly: Absence from Friday prayer is a grave sin unless there is a genuine excuse, and it is obligatory to continue forbidding those who neglect this evil.
