The answer

Blood discharged due to the miscarriage of a fetus whose formation is not yet clear (i.e., before 81 days) is not considered postpartum bleeding (). If this blood occurs during the usual time of menstruation or has the characteristics of menstrual blood (color, odor, pain), then it is menses, and prayer is suspended. However, if it occurs outside the usual time of menstruation or does not have the characteristics of menstrual blood, then it is irregular bleeding (istihada), and prayer remains obligatory. The minimum period of purity between two menstruations is 15 days, and the maximum duration of menstruation is 15 days. Any blood beyond that is considered irregular bleeding (dam fasad).
