My wife miscarried in the second month, so when does she pray?
If human features are discernible in the miscarriage, then the accompanying blood is considered nifas (postpartum bleeding), and the woman should not pray during it until it ceases or exceeds forty days. However, if the miscarriage occurs in the second month and no human characteristics are apparent, then the blood is considered irregular bleeding (dam fasad), and the woman should not abandon fasting or prayer because of it. She must take precautions against it and perform ablution after the prayer time begins, unless it carries the characteristics of menstrual blood or coincides with her regular menstrual period, in which case it is considered menstrual blood.
