Is it permissible for the bride to wipe over her head during ghusl instead of washing it, in order to preserve her hair's adornment, given the difficulty of redoing the adornment and her need for it?

A woman must wash her entire hair in ghusl al-janabah (ritual bath after sexual defilement); merely wiping it is insufficient. Fear of ruining one's adornment is not a valid excuse. It is sufficient to pour water over her head three times until it covers all her hair, without needing to undo braids. This is a facilitation from the Sharia, as stated in the hadith of Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her). It is not permissible to seek a dispensation by wiping, as there is no text that permits it. The view regarding wiping for a bride has been weakened by many Maliki scholars and is not considered authoritative.
