Is selling men's shorts that are above the knee and reveal part of the thigh permissible or forbidden, and is it permissible to be a partner in a shop without taking profit from these forbidden goods?

The thigh is part of the 'awrah (private parts) according to the majority of scholars. Therefore, it is forbidden to sell thigh-revealing clothes to someone known to wear them where those to whom it is unlawful to see their 'awrah can see them, unless there is a covering over them. Forgoing the profits from these clothes does not absolve the seller of responsibility, because he is a partner and an aid in sin.
