Is reviewing memorized Qur’an in supererogatory prayers, in the order of the Mus'haf over several days, an innovation (bid‘ah)?

Reciting the Quran, both within and outside of prayer, is among the most excellent acts of worship. It is commendable to complete its recitation and then begin anew. This is referred to as "al-haal al-murtahil" (the one who journeys on), a practice praised in a noble Hadith. It refers to someone who recites the entire Quran, and whenever they finish it, they start it again from the beginning. This applies to the questioner, even though the text of the Hadith specifically mentions completing the entire Quran.
