Is performing good deeds, fasting, and praying to attain reward from Allah considered sincerity in action?

"Hoping for reward and fearing punishment does not contradict sincerity; rather, it is the practice of prophets and righteous people, and it is supported by texts from the Qur'an and Sunnah (definition). The prophets supplicated their Lord with desire and fear, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, approved of Abu Talhah's statement, 'Indeed, I hope for its righteousness and its reward with Allah Almighty,' when he donated Bayruha'. It was the intrusive Sufis who claimed to worship Allah solely out of love, without fear or hope, and this contradicts the methodology of the Pious Predecessors (Salaf). The correct methodology in Islam is to worship Allah Almighty coupled with fear of His punishment and hope for His reward, and this does not conflict with sincerity."
