Is it permissible for a wife to stay in her parents' house for a long time despite her husband's displeasure and his demand for her to return?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on a husband preventing his wife from visiting her family. The preponderant opinion is that the husband must permit his wife to visit her family to the customary extent, unless there is harm. It is not permissible for her to exceed this without his consent.

If the wife insists on disobeying and being disobedient, then she is considered nashiz (rebellious).
