What is meant by "tasbeeh" in His, the Almighty's, saying: "And remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and in the early hours of the morning" - is it prayer or verbal glorification?

The verse: (And glorify [Allah] in the evening and in the morning) [Quran 3:41] was mentioned in Allah’s discourse about Zachariah, peace be upon him.

The meaning of "al-ashiyy" (evening) is the end of the day from the sun's decline until its setting, and "al-ibkar" (morning) is from the first light of dawn until forenoon.

As for the intended meaning of glorification (tasbih) in the verse, the exegetes mentioned two opinions:

1. It is the prayer (salat), because prayer includes glorification and magnification of Allah.

2. It is the remembrance (dhikr) by tongue, i.e., saying "Subhan Allah" (Glory be to Allah).

It was also said that the intended meaning is to magnify the Lord through His worship during these two times, and this statement combines both opinions.
