There is no harm for a woman in postpartum bleeding (nifas) or menstruation (hayd) to attend a funeral or wash the deceased, whether it be her husband or another woman, because both are ritually pure. There is no evidence of any harm in this for them. As for visiting graves, the majority of scholars permit it for women without excessiveness. This is supported by the Prophet's — peace and blessings be upon him — teaching Aisha — may Allah be pleased with her — how to greet the inhabitants of the graves.
