How sound is the widespread saying that the earth asks God for permission to swallow one who insults His Majesty, and God tells it: "Leave him; had I created him, I would have had mercy on him"?

The aforementioned hadith was not found after research. However, a similar statement was found in the Hadith Encyclopedia of Al-Durar Al-Saniyyah website, which reads: "Every day the earth says: 'O my Lord, allow me to swallow the son of Adam; he ate from Your sustenance and did not thank You...'" Similar statements follow from the seas, mountains, and sky. Then Allah Almighty responds to them: "O My creations, did you create them?... Had you created them, you would have shown them mercy. Leave My servants and Me. Whoever among them repents to Me, then I am their Beloved, and whoever does not repent, then I am their Physician..." This statement has been classified as "not a hadith."
