Is a patient's thought or statement, "Is what I suffer from chronic illness not enough for me, that this new illness should also afflict me?" considered an objection to God's decree and a sin deserving of punishment, even if it was momentary and not repeated?

Reprehensible complaining by a sick person is that which is done out of impatience, vexation, and discontent with Allah's decree. The questioner's statement, "Is what I suffer from a chronic illness not enough for me?" outwardly suggests vexation, which contradicts the state of those who are patient. She must repent from this statement. However, if this statement was merely a fleeting thought, a self-talk, or a whisper (waswasah) that occurred without settling in the heart or being uttered by the tongue, then there is no blame upon her, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has forgiven my Ummah for what they self-talk, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it."
