What is the reward for saying: "O Allah, to You be all praise as befits the glory of Your Countenance and the greatness of Your dominion"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Hadith "O Lord, to You be praise as befits the glory of Your countenance and the greatness of Your power" is not authentically established from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as it was declared weak by Al-Busiri and Al-Albani. Nevertheless, this formulation is permissible because its meaning is sound. It has been reported that the Salaf praised Allah with expressions that were sound in meaning, even if they were not explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an or Sunnah.
