Should a girl continue her endeavor to establish a religious school for teaching children despite her fears of not achieving her goal or her efforts going to waste?
We advise you to distance yourself from obsessive thoughts, have a good opinion of Allah, continue learning, strive to reform society, and do not despair of achieving your dream. Seek assistance from Allah and ask Him to facilitate what you desire, and be of high resolve. Remember that Allah Almighty is Strong, Capable, and Generous, so supplicate to Him with certainty of His response, as He says: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you" and "I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he invokes Me." Also, the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The supplication of any one of you will be granted as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or cutting off ties of kinship, and as long as he is not hasty," and "Supplicate to Allah with certainty of being answered, and know that Allah does not answer a supplication from a negligent, heedless heart."
Among the things that help one attain certainty are: contemplating the beautiful names and attributes of Allah, reflecting on the vastness of His generous giving, and studying the stories of the prophets and righteous people in their supplications. The supplicant should be in a state of doing good and avoiding evil, while observing the conditions and manners of supplication, such as having presence of heart, seizing virtuous times and places, and appropriate circumstances.
The meaning of the statement: "Supplicate to Allah with certainty of being answered" is that the supplicant should be certain that Allah Almighty will answer him, because Allah is not incapable, nor does He lack generosity; He is All-Knowing and capable of answering. Or that the supplicant should be in a state where he deserves the answer by doing good and avoiding evil, or that he should supplicate to Him believing in the occurrence of the answer with sincere hope and devotion. For Allah does not answer the supplication of a heedless heart, preoccupied with worldly matters.
