Is the father's consent sufficient for his daughter, who is residing in his home during her husband's absence, to go out, or is the husband's consent necessary?

A wife who has been entered upon must seek her husband's permission to leave, even if she is in her father's house. Her father's permission is not sufficient. Her leaving without his permission or without presuming his consent is considered an act of disobedience and insubordination (nushooz). However, she is permitted to leave without his permission for necessities, such as fulfilling a need that no one else can fulfill for her, or to go to a judge to claim her rights, or to earn her livelihood if the husband is unable to provide for her, or to seek a fatwa (religious ruling) if her husband is not a jurist.
