Is it religiously permissible to compensate for moral damages, and does compensation fall under financial ta'zir?

The origin of the legal profession is permissible if the lawyer seeks the truth, avoids falsehood, and defends his client if the truth is on his side. Otherwise, he should advise him to drop the lawsuit. As for compensation for moral damages, contemporary jurists have differed on it, and the more preponderant opinion is its prohibition; because it is non-financial, intangible, and indefinable damage. Compensation in Islamic jurisprudence is only for actual financial damage or what is equivalent to it.
