How is the inheritance divided between a wife and three full paternal uncles?

If the heirs are limited to the wife and paternal cousins, the wife receives one-fourth due to the absence of a direct descendant, based on the Almighty's saying: "And for them is one fourth of what you leave if you have no child." The remainder goes to the paternal cousins by way of 'asabah (agnatic relationship), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those who are entitled to them; then whatever remains is for the closest male relative."

The inheritance is divided into four shares: one share for the wife, and one share for each of the paternal cousins.
