What is Islam's view on the use of medicines, and does their use conflict with reliance on Allah?

Seeking medical treatment is permissible and does not contradict reliance on God (Tawakkul). The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded seeking treatment and mentioned that Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has sent down its cure, save for old age. Therefore, engaging with means does not negate reliance on God; rather, it is part of realizing its true essence, and abandoning them is considered helplessness that contradicts reliance on God.
