What is the ruling on the "dropship" system, which involves displaying products from another website and selling them at a higher price without owning them, then the seller sends the buyer's address and the price of the item to the company for it to ship?

There are two scenarios for selling goods from a website:

1. As an agent for the website: It is permissible to sell the item on behalf of the website. However, selling it at a higher price to keep the increase for yourself is not permissible unless with the website's permission and knowledge, or if the website set a price for you and told you: "Whatever exceeds this is yours."

2. Not as an agent for the website: It is not permissible to sell an item before owning it, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying to Hakim ibn Hizam: "Do not sell what you do not possess," and this is agreed upon by scholars. There are other permissible ways to sell what you do not possess.
