Is it permissible for the ruling organizer and those around him to take enormous amounts of money in exchange for his organization, leading to many corrupting influences?

The actions of rulers regarding public funds must be for the public good, not driven by whims, otherwise, it would be a betrayal of trust and an unlawful consumption of wealth. The basic principle is that a ruler should be allocated from the public treasury what suffices him, in a reasonable manner. Scholars have stipulated the permissibility of receiving sustenance for those engaged in the affairs of Muslims. As for using public funds without right, it is a cause for entering Hellfire, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, some men delve into Allah's wealth without right, and for them is the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
