Is it permissible to put poisoned grain on the roof of a house to get rid of bothersome pigeons kept by a neighbor?

If the roof of the house belongs to you, your neighbor is not permitted to use it without your permission, as this constitutes an encroachment upon the rights of others, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors." You must advise him; if he does not respond, seek help from people of virtue. Otherwise, refer the matter to the competent authorities. It is forbidden to poison his pigeons, as the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "There should be no harm nor reciprocal harming." However, if the roof does not belong to you and no harm befalls you, you have no right to prevent him. But if you are harmed, you may take the actions mentioned previously.
