How can one obtain forgiveness and absolution from an ex-spouse for wrongs committed against him, such as negligence, unresponsiveness, lying, and disposing of his money without his permission, given that there is no communication between them?

The wife must repent for her shortcomings concerning her husband's rights. Repentance for the rights of people entails fulfilling those rights to their owners. Material rights must be returned to their owners, even indirectly, or by seeking their absolution, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever has wronged his brother, concerning his honor or anything else, should seek his forgiveness today before there are no dinars or dirhams." As for non-material rights, the basic principle is to ask for forgiveness. If there is fear of harm, then supplicating and seeking forgiveness for the wronged person is sufficient. It is worth noting that if a husband is stingy with his wife's maintenance and she takes from his money an amount equivalent to her maintenance without his knowledge, she is not considered to have wronged him.
