What is the ruling on incorrectly transmitting a fatwa with the intention of benefiting others?

There is no objection to transmitting and disseminating the fatwas of trusted scholars, after verifying their authenticity and ensuring that their content has not been altered. If the error in transmission was intentional, you must repent and correct the information for those to whom you transmitted it. If the error was due to forgetfulness or oversight, it is excused, along with an attempt to correct the information.
