What is your advice to me regarding my desire to become a preacher, despite my family's opposition on the grounds that I am unqualified?

The parents emphasize that taking on this matter requires qualifications and prerequisites; otherwise, a person might err and mislead themselves or others, for the matter is not easy. Therefore, it is advised to strive in seeking beneficial knowledge and acquiring righteous deeds. It is suggested to begin with the Holy Qur’an, by reflecting upon it and memorizing it, and learning the fundamentals of faith and the doctrines of monotheism. Then, one should read books by scholars that answer the doubts of non-Muslims and explain the contradictions in their holy scriptures. One must not rely on oneself, but adhere to the principle of not speaking about what one does not master and not delving into what one does not know, and asking the people of knowledge about what is unclear. This approach elevates a person’s status to become one of the specialists in this field, which is a matter that requires effort, determination, and perseverance.
