Is it permissible for a woman to accept a marriage proposal from another man and break her promise to a young man who proposed to her after she finished her studies and he found a job?

It is not permissible for a girl to establish a relationship with a man who is a stranger to her, even if he promises her marriage, due to the unlawful acts involved in such a relationship. If a young man proposes to you, and he is pleasing in his religion and character, then seek guidance from Allah and accept him. Do not pay attention to the previous promise from someone who has not actually come forward to propose to you, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If someone whose religion and character you approve comes to propose to you, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." If this young man proposes to you, the first person does not have the right to propose until the first suitor gives up his proposal or grants permission, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man should not propose over the proposal of his brother until the first suitor leaves his proposal or the suitor gives him permission."
