There is no objection to a woman traveling to her husband and leaving her mother; in fact, it is preferable. Her marital home has a greater claim to her, and his right takes precedence, and obedience to him is more obligatory. It is desirable for her to remain with her husband and children for religious and worldly benefits, while still showing filial piety to her mother through whatever means are possible, such as asking about her and making calls.
