Is there special merit for someone whose firstborn is a daughter?

Children are a gift from Allah, and Allah Almighty is the Bestower of males and females. He may also render whomever He wills barren, for He is All-Knowing and All-Powerful. Authentic Ahadith have been narrated illustrating the virtue of raising daughters, among them: "Whoever takes care of two girls until they reach maturity, he and I will come on the Day of Resurrection like this," and he intertwined his fingers. Also, "Whoever has three daughters or two sisters and treats them well, Paradise will be his." As for the Hadith that prefers the arrival of a girl first, it is weak and fabricated according to some scholars.
