Why is the answer to my prayer for marriage to a specific man delayed despite frequent supplication and intense pleading? Am I among those whose calls God loves to hear, or is my prayer not being answered?

The delay in the supplication's response is not necessarily an indication of its rejection. Allah answers supplications in three ways: by expediting the request in this world, or by storing the reward for the Hereafter, or by expiating sins, as long as the supplication is not for a sin, or for severing kinship ties, or due to impatience. A person may supplicate for something they believe to be good, while it is actually harmful to them. In such cases, Allah, out of His mercy and wisdom, diverts it from them. Therefore, one must submit to Allah's command and be content with His decree, and continue supplicating with contentment in all circumstances, for Allah knows what man does not know.
