What should one do when they fall in love with someone, while simultaneously fearing God, feeling an emptiness in their heart, and being unable to complete their university education, all amidst changing times and rising dowries?

There is no harm in unintentional love, but it is not permissible to go to extremes with it. If the young man is of good character and religious, and desires to marry, there is no impediment to informing the family of this. Exorbitant dowries and refusing marriage for trivial reasons are not sanctioned by Islamic law. Guardians should facilitate marriage for anyone who finds a suitable match of good character and religious commitment.
