Is it permissible to combine the narrations mentioning "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi" with "Subhan Allah Al-Adheem" and "عدد خلقه ورضا نفسه وزنة عرشه ومداد كلماته" (as many times as the number of His creation, by His pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words) so that it becomes "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi Subhan Allah Al-Adheem عدد خلقه... etc."? And do the repeated recitations of this long remembrance count within the virtue of saying "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi 100 times" daily? If combining is not permissible, is it permissible to say "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi عدد خلقه Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi رضا نفسه... etc."?

The remembrance (dhikr) reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is: "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinata arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi" (Glorified is Allah and praised be He, as many times as the number of His creation, by His Own Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the ink of His words) recited three times. The addition of "Subhan Allah al-Azim" (Glorified is Allah, the Most Great) has not been reported in the narrations of this hadith (definition). It is more appropriate to limit oneself to what has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and not to add anything to it, because the wordings of supplications and remembrances are divinely prescribed (tawqifiyyah), and they possess specific characteristics and secrets. The reward might be contingent upon those exact words mentioned.
