It is impermissible to acquire or sell artifacts that are in the form of statues and idols, or in the form of crosses, unless they are broken. It is permissible to sell gold and silver pieces, or broken statues, while avoiding the sale of anything prohibited by law. There is no harm for someone who acquired such an item out of ignorance of its impermissibility to benefit from it. Informing someone of an incorrect unintentionally carries no sin.
