Is the money earned by a young man who is engaged unlawful if he obtained it from working with artifacts that contain statues, and would the fiancée be sinful for that?

It is impermissible to acquire or sell artifacts that are in the form of statues and idols, or in the form of crosses, unless they are broken. It is permissible to sell gold and silver pieces, or broken statues, while avoiding the sale of anything prohibited by law. There is no harm for someone who acquired such an item out of ignorance of its impermissibility to benefit from it. Informing someone of an incorrect fatwa unintentionally carries no sin.
