Does an expiatory oath (kaffarat yamin) become binding on me on the third day, after I have fasted for two days?

Expiation for an oath is obligatory upon the one who breaks his binding oath. If the oath was not binding on you and you fasted two days for it, then your fasting is supererogatory and you are not obliged to fast a third day.
