What are the reasons for salvation from the affliction entrusted to speech, and how is the tongue preserved from it, especially since it has afflicted prophets before? And does reading dhikr with the intention of seeking protection, giving charity with the intention of healing, and seeking forgiveness with the intention of achieving a worldly matter, fall under those who desire the world through their deeds?

The Muslim should know that what Allah has decreed will inevitably come to pass, and that affliction may befall a servant as a test or a punishment, and not necessarily due to their logic. Exaggerating fear of logic can lead to pessimism, which is forbidden. Among the reasons for safety is preserving logic and speaking good words, as texts have indicated the importance of good omens and choosing good names. Preserving the tongue is possible, and controlling it is attainable. There is no harm in performing dhikr with the intention of seeking protection from Satan if it is done with the intention of drawing closer to Allah.
