The answer

There is nothing in the phrase "If a Muslim extends his hands to Allah in supplication, then Allah is near him and knows his condition" from the perspective of creed, for Allah is near His servants and answers their supplications, as stated in His Almighty قول: "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then [answer them], I am indeed near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he invokes Me." It is better for a Muslim to suffice with the reported supplications and the recitation and listening to the Quran, for it is an act of worship through which mercy is hoped for, as in His Almighty قول: "And when the Quran is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy."
