How can one repent from committing major and minor sins, such as ridiculing prayer, engaging in foreplay to sodomy within it, abandoning some prayers, and practicing masturbation? And is reciting the entire Qur’an thereafter acceptable? And is what was mentioned considered publicizing sin?

We ask Allah to guide the questioner to sincere repentance, for what was mentioned constitutes grave sins and heinous immoralities. Allah is Vast in Forgiveness; He forgives sins through sincere repentance, by which He erases sins and replaces bad deeds with good ones. Despair of Allah's mercy is not befitting. The most serious of these sins are mocking the rituals of Allah and abandoning prayer. Caution should be exercised against repeating such actions. Completing the Qur'an is a great deed, and we hope Allah accepts it and erases sins thereby. Let him continue reciting it, reflecting upon it, and acting upon it. The questioner's inquiry is not a public declaration of sin because his intention is to seek advice.
