What is the ruling regarding a man whose in-laws have made him doubt his wife and accused her of betrayal, leading him to live in isolation and suffer from severe obsessive thoughts that have affected his life, work, and social relationships, despite the wife's strong denial and the absence of direct evidence of her betrayal?

There is a misunderstanding between the husband and his wife's family, who wish for her divorce. The husband should ascertain his wife's position: if she desires a divorce, he should try to change her mind or divorce her, and he should beware of raising the issue of betrayal. However, if she does not desire a divorce, he should treat her kindly, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and not pay attention to unproven suspicions. Jealousy is of two types: that which Allah loves, which is jealousy concerning doubt, and that which Allah dislikes, which is jealousy without doubt.
