Is a woman required to fast for a full year for the healing of her sick child, as she saw in her dream, or not? And if she is unable to do so, what should she do?

A woman is not obliged to fast a sunnah fast or a day fast due to a dream, as Shariah rulings are not based on dreams. Furthermore, the year includes days when fasting is impermissible, such as the two 'Eids and the days of Tashreeq for those not performing Hajj and unable to offer a sacrifice. Islamic law encourages charity and has made it a cure for the sick.
