What is the ruling on someone who was having intercourse with his wife just before the dawn (Fajr) call to prayer in Ramadan, and the muezzin made the call to prayer while he was still having intercourse, then he withdrew in the middle of the call to prayer?

If a man has intercourse with his wife before dawn, and then the adhan is called, he must withdraw immediately. If he withdraws at once, there is no make-up fast or expiation upon him. However, if he continues intercourse after the adhan begins, and the adhan is an accurate indicator of the break of dawn, then he must make up the fast and offer expiation.
